Agreement

Pretty QR is run by Ozan Tunca in Berlin, Germany. Using the site means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. If a mandatory consumer law in your country gives you a right these terms cannot take away, that law wins.

The service

You can design a QR code and download it as PNG, JPG, or SVG without an account. Pretty QR is free for that. An account is optional. It gives you a list of designs you created while signed in, and private templates only you can open.

The editor saves a design on our server so its link reloads the same code. Downloads of a single code are made in your browser. You may use the QR codes you generate for personal and commercial projects. You are responsible for what the code points at, and for checking that it scans before you print a run.

Accounts

You can sign up with an email and a password, or with Google. Keep the password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on the account. Email [email protected] if you think someone else is using it. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Your designs

You keep the rights to the text, links, and logos you put into a design. You let us store that material and show it to anyone who opens the design link. That is what makes the link work.

A design URL is a share link. Anyone who has it can view the encoded content and the logo. Do not put secrets in a design you save here. If you were signed in when the design was created, other people cannot edit it, and it shows on your My designs list. If you were not signed in, anyone with the link can change it. Private templates you save while signed in are not share links. Only that account can open them.

Hosted files

With Pro you can upload a photo, video, audio file, or PDF and make a QR code that opens it. Pro includes up to 10 hosted files at a time. Deleting one frees its place. You keep the rights to what you upload, and you let us store it and show it to anyone who scans the code or has its link. The link is not secret: do not upload anything private.

Upload only files you have the right to share. We check the type of every file, rewrite photos (which removes their location data), and refuse PDFs that contain scripts, attachments, or encryption. We do not review what a file says.

Anyone who opens a hosted file can report it. When several people report a file, it is hidden until we look at it. We can remove a file, or keep it hidden, when we believe it breaks the acceptable use rules below or the law. You can delete your files at any time on My designs.

We keep hosted files for as long as Pretty QR runs. If we ever close the service, we will email you at least 90 days before, so you can download your files. If your Pro access ends, your existing hosted files keep working, but you cannot add or replace files.

Acceptable use

Do not use Pretty QR to:

• encode, link to, or upload illegal content, malware, or phishing
• infringe someone else's rights
• break into another person's account, or try to
• overload the site so other people cannot use it

We can remove a design or block access when we believe these rules are broken.

Pro

Pretty QR Pro is a one-time purchase for one account. It is not a subscription, and we do not bill it again. Paying turns Pro on for that account. Today that means batch downloads (one ZIP of up to 500 codes from a list or CSV, using the design you have open), print-ready PDF and SVG files, and hosted files (up to 10 at a time, see Hosted files above). The QR API and MCP server are available on a free account too: 100 requests a calendar month (UTC) and 2 API keys. Pro raises that to 10,000 requests a calendar month and 1,000 an hour, and 10 API keys. The free generator stays free whether or not you buy Pro.

Features we add to Pro for at least a year after the purchase are included in that licence. Scan counting is not available yet, and we have not set a date for it.

The price is the amount on the checkout screen when you pay. A waitlist or discount code, typed into checkout, can lower it. Paddle takes the payment as merchant of record. They charge the card and add any tax. We do not see the card number. If the site is showing a waitlist form instead of a buy button, that form does not take payment.

A refund of that payment turns Pro off for the account that bought it. The details are in the refund policy. Access we grant without a charge is not a purchase, and we can end it.

Our work

The Pretty QR name, the site, the templates we publish, and the software belong to us or are used with permission. Downloading a QR code does not transfer those rights. You may not copy the site or resell access to it.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will stay up, that a saved design will be stored forever, or that a code will scan in every camera, at every size, on every surface. Low contrast, a large logo, and some shapes make a code harder to scan.

Liability

German law does not let us exclude liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. Apart from those cases, we are not liable for lost profits, a code that fails after you print it, or what happens on a site a code opens. For the free service, liability is limited to the extent German law allows.

Changes and law

We can update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms. These terms use the law of Germany. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Otherwise the courts of Berlin have jurisdiction.
