The QR API and MCP server are open to free accounts

A free account can create two API keys and make 100 QR codes a month through the API or an AI assistant. Pro keeps the higher allowance.

You no longer need Pro to use the QR API or to connect an assistant.

On a free account:

Create up to 2 API keys under API keys in the account menu.
Make 100 requests each calendar month (UTC). The API and the assistant tools that create a code share that number. The API keys page shows how many you have used.
When the month is used up, the error tells you, and points you to Pro.

Pro is unchanged: 10,000 requests a month, 1,000 in any hour, and 10 API keys. Hosting a file for a QR code, from the editor or from an assistant, stays part of Pro.
